Questions
What's the difference between a subject and a discipline?
A subject is one teaching area, like Accounting or Marketing. A discipline is the whole field those subjects belong to. Business & Management, for example, includes Accounting, Marketing, and 5 other subjects. It also includes general job postings that don't name a subject, such as "Adjunct Faculty, School of Business." Many colleges post openings that way, so a discipline catches job opportunities a single subject would miss.
How many emails will I get?
Two to three a week. Each one brings a selection of the newest job leads in the subjects or disciplines you picked. How many depends on what colleges post that week.
What does "Tracking 350+ job leads" mean?
It's how many online teaching job leads we're following in that subject or discipline right now. Every day, we check college career pages: new postings are added, and postings that close are removed, so the number changes from day to day. We count only leads that mention online teaching, from fully online positions to ones where online is mentioned as one of several formats. On-campus-only positions aren't counted. Your emails don't bring all of them: each one brings a selection of the newest job leads in the subjects or disciplines you picked.
Are these job leads online?
Every job lead we send includes online teaching. Each lead is labeled one of four ways, so you know what the college is offering before you click:
- Fully online: the posting says the position is entirely online or remote.
- Online: the posting says you would teach online, but does not say whether any campus time is required.
- Online (details not stated): the posting mentions online teaching without saying how the classes run.
- Online, hybrid, or face-to-face: the college lists several formats, including online.
To help you judge your chances of teaching online, most leads also show three numbers about the college. For example: 2,392 students · 37% study fully online · 79% take at least one online class. The numbers give you a sense of how much of a college's teaching happens online, and how likely it is to hire instructors who teach completely online.
What does Premium add?
Full-time, work-from-home job leads at colleges and universities: teaching, academic leadership, other academic job opportunities like advising and admissions, and other university job opportunities like IT and data. These leads are rarer and harder to find, so every one we send is matched to the discipline you choose, or is open to any field. Premium also includes adjunct job leads in one discipline you choose, so you keep getting adjunct leads too. A few of these job leads are remote but ask you to live in a certain area or travel now and then. We say so on each one.
What is the instructional design add-on?
It is one extra email a week with remote and hybrid instructional design, curriculum, and learning technology job leads at colleges, universities, and other employers. It is $2.99 a month, and you can add it to any plan.
Can I cancel?
Yes, anytime. If you cancel during the free trial, you are never charged.
